About OpOverwatch

OpOverwatch is a grass roots Law Enforcement Trauma Education Ministry seeking to normalize trauma’s effect, and walk through it as a community. The Post Traumatic Stress effects of trauma on an officer and combat vet are normal reactions to abnormal life circumstances. At OpOverwatch, we understand the benefits of normalizing the body’s response to trauma and we understand that it is not a disorder. We will educate law enforcement on the way that trauma will attack our minds, hearts, personality, and family. We believe that availability is a precious resource to trauma resiliency, so we seek to avail ourselves to the law enforcement community in four areas:
Benevolence, Outreach, Edification, and Training.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

OpOverwatch believes

  1. The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and the only authoritative Word of God.
  2. There is only one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity.
  3. Jesus Christ is God and He is eternal. He was supernaturally conceived through the Holy Spirit and born through Mary, who was a virgin. He lived a sinless life, He was crucified on a cross, and resurrected in bodily form. Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father where He exists as our mediator and advocate.
  4. Jesus lived a sinless life but was crucified, as our substitute, according to God’s plan of redemption, and that all who believe in him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
  5. Sin has corrupted human nature and our relationship with God has been broken. As a result, all humans are unable to please God or dwell in His Holiness. Passive or willful rejection of Jesus results in eternal death and separation from God. Everyone is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
  6. Salvation is a result of God’s free grace and cannot be received through acts of goodness, human works, or religious ceremonies. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for salvation and are thereby justified in His sight.
  7. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin affects the new birth, gives guidance in life, empowers for service, and enables perseverance in faith and holiness.
  8. The Church, The Spiritual Body of Christ, is composed of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.

HISTORY

OpOverwatch was founded in 2019 with the vision of educating all LEO with the knowledge necessary to restructure the effects of trauma in their lives. OpOverwatch was also established to operate as a faith led organization. This means that we are more than willing to provide a greater knowledge of Jesus Christ, to all those who are seeking to know more about what it means to have an identity In Christ.
In March of 2019, an initial vision casting took place, attended by approximately 75 church and LEO representatives. Soon after, an OpOverwatch board was put in place and OpOverwatch began to function as a loosely affiliated organization. We offered outreach events, benevolence projects and Bible study. In 2020, The Lord provided OpOverwatch with an 18,000 square foot building to continue the mission on a larger scale. This building was formerly known as Rapids Bible Church. This building, located in the hamlet of Rapids, is now our headquarters, and is known as OpOverwatch Center. Since then, OpOverwatch has continued to expand in reach, as well as participants. OpOverwatch now touches the lives of 1000s of law enforcement, combat vets, dispatch, and COs.
